Маковый сад - в память о солдатах Первой мировой

В Лондоне сотни туристов посетили Маковый сад, который стал символом памяти о воинах, павших в Первой мировой войне.

Экспозиция была приурочена к Дню поминовению, отмечающемуся 11 ноября.

В память о каждом из 888 246 погибших британских солдат в саду должен быть установлен керамический маковый цветок.

Первый появился здесь в августе, а последний должен занять свое место непосредственно 11 ноября.

Инсталляция названа “Земля, оплаканная кровью” и была создана художником Полом Камминсом.
